Why didn’t I do it sooner?

I am talking about posting on MY website. Ever since I started taking posting on LinkedIn seriously, I kept postponing posting on my website. And now, even though my site is new and gets only a handful of visitors, I LOVE posting here.

Simply because it feels like freedom. There is no need to post one way or another; there is no concern about engagement; this is pure reflection, pure moments of sharing.

And what does it do? It ensures everything I create stays organised and accessible to others. Plus, absolutely no distractions with other posts and notifications popping up here and there.

This doesn’t just feel like posting; it feels like Zen.

And it does mean I must be onto something here. That a website can have two types of content zones. One dedicated to a knowledge hub that bakes in SEO, where you focus on attracting people to your website, and the other can be like this – musings. A place where you just express yourself, even if no one in the world finds it.

This is the perfect example of waiting to create that perfect post, and not creating anything at all. Musings helps me start posting. In fact, I do this with no procrastination. So that’s why I am asking, why didn’t I do this sooner?

P.S. Ever since I started doing this, I have been losing interest in posting on LinkedIn. Although I won’t completely stop posting there, I think I will go from 3 to 5 posts a week, to just 1. I want to tip the scale and do more posting here. Plus, I will launch my Growth Insights blog soon, so I better spend more time on my own website than anywhere else.

Your turn, what do you think about this approach? Would you like to try something like that on your own website? Let me know in the comments.
